Approximately 570 000 adults are estimated to be blind as a result of cataract in Pakistan. Most people from remote areas don’t have proper knowledge and health coverage available for eye related diseases. As a result many people perish to this slowly developing disease. Even if the treatment is available it is very expensive and many people cannot afford it.
A free eye surgery camp will be set up at Jamia Uloom-I-Sharia, Sahiwal to provide cataract treatment for poor and deserving patients. A board of highly qualified Doctors will supervise this camp where people will get lens replacement therapy and free medication. This camp will be held from 15 Feb 2018 and will continue providing treatment for 2 days.
